Dr. Ciru Kinuthia

Dr. Ciru Kinuthia

Founder and CEO, Midhill Health Foundation

Dr. Ciru Kinuthia is a global health researcher, clinician, and health systems leader with over 18 years of experience in clinical care, health policy, and research. She currently serves as Director of Midhill Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya, where she leads efforts to improve access, quality, and equity in healthcare.

Dr. Kinuthia holds a PhD in Global Health Research and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Health Systems Leadership from Emory University, a Master of Public Health from Georgia State University, and a BSN from Saint Francis University. She has received numerous research grants to support her work in HIV/AIDS care, maternal health, mental health integration, digital health, and health workforce development.

Having spent 20 years in the United States pursuing education and working in healthcare systems and academia, Dr. Kinuthia brings a unique perspective informed by deep experience across diverse care models and health systems. She is passionate about sustainable, community-based solutions and continues her parents' legacy through the Midhill Health Foundation's mission to advance equitable healthcare in Kenya.
